Storing Objects

Storing and managing objects with their meta data is one of the most important functions of edu-sharing.

Basically, two types of objects can be stored in the repository:

• Objects which consist of files with associated meta data (such as your own docs, pictures or videos)
• Links to "external" resources which are hosted somewhere outside of the repository (such as interesting weblinks or instances of connected systems - think LMS-courses) that are enriched with metadata.

Objects can be stored in dfferent ways in edu-sharing:

• using the so called workspace in your browser or our app
• by means of connected systems such as Moodle or ONLYOFFICE
• using the edu-sharing APP
• via WebDAV
