Storing and managing objects with their meta data is one of the most important functions of edu-sharing.
Basically, two types of objects can be stored in the repository:

Objects which consist of files with associated meta data (such as your own docs, pictures or videos)

Links to "external" resources which are hosted somewhere outside of the repository (such as interesting weblinks or instances of connected systems - think LMS-courses) that are enriched with metadata.
Objects can be stored in dfferent ways in edu-sharing:

using the so called workspace in your browser or our app

by means of connected systems such as Moodle or ONLYOFFICE

using the edu-sharing APP

via WebDAV
