Storing Objects via WebDAV
edu-sharing allows access to the repository via WebDAV. This way you can use edu-sharing as a network drive and edit content in the repository without downloading it.
Open documents directly using the authoring software of your choice (e.g. Word) and store your changes in edu-sharing. The version management automatically creates a new version of your document.
In contrast to storing objects using the workspace or via Moodle no additional didactical meta data can be added to your objects when storing them by means of WebDAV.
The meta data inheritance feature has got you covered though - it supports you by adding selected meta data to objects stored via WebDAV.
Conect your computer or mobile device to edu-sharing via WebDAV. Now you can create or store files in your edu-sharing folder structure just like on your own hard drive.
